 About
the Havanese Breed
Our Brighty loves to talk and is here to tell you all about the
havanese breed.
Hi! My name is Brighty and I wanted to be the one to tell you a
little about us.
We as a breed
are very old, we are members of the Bichon family, and were on
the island of Malta as far back as 23-79 BC. We haven't been in the
United States very long, and have only been members of the AKC since1995.
We are small dogs from 8 1/2 to 11 1/2 inches tall and usually
weigh
from 7 to 13 lbs. We come in every color. We are happy loving
companions to adults as well as children, my people have grandchildren
and we
all enjoy playing with them when they come to visit us. We alert
our People when someone comes to the door and if there is a strange
noise in the yard, but are not known to be "yappy dogs".
Some people say we are "LOVE IN A FUR COAT" but we really
don't have fur, we are a hair dog, so don't shed nor do we have
an odor. I want to thank you for comming to visit us, and have
